About

A picture in front, a fairytale behind. "The vocation to the dream: a staging and a background"

Every piece of wood was obtained mostly from hulls of old disused ships. Parts of shipwrecks, recycled plating, wood that once floated, were  transformed into a jewel. The ocean rumbles inside the bracelets, voices of sailors, fishermen, weavers of nets, fixers.

Wrecks thrown into the port by the undertow, resting on a wrist are reborn to life telling each spray of salt and every battle won in the waves. Nedumo stands for “Never a dull moment”. In the design of Nedumo line simplicity is the distinctive trait and style of reference of the designer.

The social interaction and the personal approach to style rewrite the codes of jewelry design creating new ones. There are three fundamental elements in Nedumo’s design: art, literature and obsession.

The aesthetic obsession expressed by the repetition of an image on three pieces, together with the other two elements (art and literature) are essential for the designer.

Bringing art with them, being able to wear literature is the realization of that aesthetic obsession: to be without preconceptions puts wings.

Each piece of this imagined line stands on its own. “Each woman wearing a Nedumo chooses her fairytale, chooses to wear a unique piece of art”; the collection is in fact created by a series that maintains the image while the decorative elements composing the bracelet may vary.

The materials used are natural: different types of wood (the darker Mahogany and the lightest Kotò) keep the irregular veins and the signs of navigation in imperfections coexisting together with coral stones, ceramics, crystals and swarovski.
